HOW TO PLAY

Hit the ball onto the table on the other side of the net. It can bounce anywhere, any number of times.

There are no limits on when or where you hit the ball. EXCEPT you can’t: (1) use your body, (2) volley, (3) hit it more than once unless it bounces back to you off the net, (4) hit it when it’s static or rolling, or (5) touch a surface with your bat in trying to resurrect a ball that has almost stopped bouncing.

SCORING

You lose the point if you miss the other side of the table, or if the ball hits you after landing on your side of the table, or if you hit your opponent (who is behind the table) before the ball lands on their side of the table, or if you breach the limits above. First to 16 points wins.

THE SERVE

If you win the point then it’s your serve for the next point. Serve is conventional table tennis – one bounce on your side then over the net & no flaps before it lands. Play for serve with a rally commencing with a ‘thrown serve’ that bounces on both sides.
